Welcome to Smile and Learn! Today, we’re going on a fun adventure to find a dinosaur and learn some new words. Let’s get started!
Our dinosaur friend is playing hide and seek! Let’s see where she is hiding:
First, our dinosaur is in the egg. Can you imagine her cozy inside?
Now, she’s on the egg. She’s sitting right on top!
Look, she’s under the egg. She’s hiding beneath it!
Our dinosaur loves to hide in different places. Let’s find her again!
There she is, in front of the tree. She’s right before it!
Now, she’s behind the tree. She’s hiding at the back!
Look, she’s next to the tree. She’s standing beside it!
Finally, she’s between two volcanoes. She’s in the middle!
Every time we find her, let’s ask, “Hey dinosaur, can we hear your roar?” It’s so much fun!
We’ve learned so many new words today! If you want to learn more, there are lots of videos to watch. Join the Smile and Learn channel to keep learning and having fun!
Dinosaur Hide and Seek at Home: Play a game of hide and seek with a toy dinosaur or any small object. Ask your child to hide the dinosaur in different places around the room. Use the words from the lesson to describe where the dinosaur is hiding, such as “in the box,” “on the chair,” or “under the table.” Encourage your child to use these words as well when they find the dinosaur.
Create a Dinosaur Adventure Map: Provide your child with paper and crayons to draw a map of a dinosaur adventure. Include different locations like a tree, a rock, and a volcano. Ask your child to place a small dinosaur sticker or drawing in various positions on the map, such as “in front of the tree” or “between the rocks.” This will help them visualize and apply the positional words they learned.
Positional Word Scavenger Hunt: Go on a scavenger hunt around your home or yard. Give your child clues using positional words, such as “Look for something under the couch” or “Find something next to the door.” As they find each item, discuss its position using the words from the lesson. This activity encourages observation and reinforces the concept of spatial relationships.
