We’ve learned so many action words today! Keep practicing, and you’ll be a verb expert in no time. See you soon for more fun learning!

  • Can you think of a time when you did one of these action words, like jumping or running? What were you doing, and how did it make you feel?
  • Which action word is your favorite, and why? Can you show us how you do it?
  • Can you make up a short story using some of the action words we learned today? What happens in your story?
  1. Action Word Charades: Let’s play a fun game of charades! Take turns acting out one of the action words you’ve learned, like “jump,” “run,” or “dance,” without saying the word. Your friends will try to guess which action word you are acting out. This will help you remember the words and have fun at the same time!

  2. Verb Hunt: Go on a verb hunt around your home or classroom. Look for people or animals doing different actions. When you see someone walking, eating, or playing, say the action word out loud. You can even draw a picture of what you saw and write the action word next to it. This will help you see how verbs are used in everyday life!

  3. Story Time with Verbs: Create a short story using some of the action words you’ve learned. For example, “The dog is running in the park. He stops to eat a bone. Then he jumps over a puddle.” Draw pictures to go along with your story. Share your story with a friend or family member and see if they can spot all the action words!
