Library

The library is a special place full of books. If you join, you can borrow any book you like and take it home to read.

School

Schools are where teachers help kids learn about different subjects, like math and science.

Stores

Stores are places where you can buy things. There are many kinds of stores, like grocery stores for food and shoe stores for shoes.

Museum

A museum is a place where you can see beautiful artwork and old objects, like paintings and sculptures.

Hotel

Hotels are where people stay when they are traveling. They are like temporary homes for visitors.

Café

At a café, you can enjoy drinks like coffee and tea. It’s a nice place to relax.

Square

A town square is an open space where streets meet. It often has trees, gardens, and sometimes statues.

Hospital

Add your own special places too! Use crayons or markers to make your map colorful. Once you’re done, explain your map to a friend or family member. What makes your city special?

  3. Role Play a Day in the City: With a group of friends or family, pretend you are visiting different parts of the city. One person can be a librarian, another a café owner, and someone else a museum guide. Take turns acting out what you might do or say in each place. How does each place help people in the city?
