Make Your Own Xylophone: Gather some colorful plastic or wooden spoons and a few empty glasses or jars. Fill each jar with different amounts of water. Tap the jars gently with the spoons to hear the different sounds they make. Can you create a simple tune? Talk about how the amount of water changes the sound, just like the bars on a xylophone.
Draw an X-ray Fish: Use a piece of paper and crayons or markers to draw an x-ray fish. Imagine what it might look like if you could see through it. Use light colors to show its see-through body. Discuss why some animals might have see-through bodies and how it helps them in their environment.
