Picture Hunt: Go on a picture hunt around your home or classroom to find items that start with the letter “P.” You can look for things like a pencil, a pillow, or a picture. Once you find them, draw a picture of each item and try to write the word next to it. How many “P” items can you find?
Popcorn Counting Game: Let’s have some fun with popcorn! Ask an adult to help you pop some popcorn. Once it’s ready, count out eight pieces and place them in a bowl. Now, try to make groups of different numbers, like five, six, or seven pieces. Can you make a group of each number? How many pieces are left over?
Big and Small Sorting: Gather some toys or objects of different sizes. Try to sort them into two groups: big and small. You can use toys like a big teddy bear and a small toy car. Once sorted, explain to a friend or family member why you think each item is big or small. Can you find something that is both big and starts with “P”?
