Letter H: Cursive Script – The Alphabet for Kids

Hi friends! Today, we’re going to learn all about the letter H. Are you ready? Let’s have some fun!

Meet the Letter H

Hello! I’m the letter H. Sometimes, I make different sounds when I’m with my friends. If there’s a T in front of me, I sound like this: “th.” But if there’s a C, I sound like this: “ch.” Isn’t that cool?

Writing the Letter H

Let’s learn how to write the letter H. First, we’ll write the big H. Start with a line going up and then down. Do it again next to the first line. Now, draw a line across the middle to connect them. Great job! It looks like two kids playing a thumb war!

Now, let’s try the small h. Start with a loop going up, then down like a hill, and back up a little bit. Finish by going down again. It looks like a chair! You can try writing it at home with a pen and paper. It’s super easy!

Words with the Letter H

Let’s find some words that start with H. “Hotel” starts with H. I love staying at hotels on holiday! “Hamburger” also starts with H. Yum, I love hamburgers!

Have you ever played hockey? “Halloween” starts with H too. I love dressing up for Halloween!

A Spooky Story

Let’s hear a spooky story! Last year, during Halloween, something spooky happened at a haunted hotel on a hill. It gave Harry the biggest, scariest chill!

“Hide, Harry, hide! You’re in Monsterville!”
