Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have fun with the letter E. Are you ready to learn? Let’s go!
The letter E is a special letter. It’s a vowel, and you can find it in lots of words. Sometimes, it sounds like “eh” and other times like “eee.” Let’s practice saying it together. Can you say “eh”? Great! Now try “eee.” Awesome job!
Let’s learn how to write the letter E. First, we’ll do the big E, called the capital E. Start with a long line going up and down. Then, draw three lines across it—one at the top, one in the middle, and one at the bottom. It looks like a fork!
Now, let’s try the small e, called the lowercase e. Start with a little line in the middle, then make a circle that doesn’t close all the way. It looks like a cat’s face!
Let’s find some words that start with E. How about “egg”? Be careful with those eggs! There’s also “engine.” Can you say “engine”? Great! And what about “elbow”? Can you touch your elbow?
Let’s try some more words with E in them. Listen carefully: “feet,” “she,” “sleep.” Can you say them too? You’re doing fantastic!
Now, let’s sing a fun song about Elephant Dad:
Elephant Dad went down the shed.
He went too fast and bumped his head.
A little head with Jerry Red.
All he wanted was his bed.
Wasn’t that fun? You did a great job learning about the letter E today!
There are so many more letters to learn. Keep watching more videos and have fun with all the letters of the alphabet. See you next time!
Letter E Hunt: Go on a letter E hunt around your home or classroom. Look for objects that start with the letter E, like an egg or an envelope. Can you find at least three things? Draw a picture of each item you find and practice writing the word next to it. This will help you remember the sound and shape of the letter E.
Sound Match Game: Gather a few small objects or pictures of things that have the letter E in their name, like a pen, a bell, or a lemon. Mix them up with objects that don’t have the letter E, like a cup or a ball. Can you sort them into two groups: those with the letter E and those without? Say the name of each object out loud and listen for the E sound.
Make an E Collage: Cut out pictures from old magazines or draw your own pictures of things that have the letter E in their name. Glue them onto a piece of paper to make an E collage. Share your collage with a friend or family member and tell them about each picture. This will help you remember the different sounds the letter E can make.

[Music] Hi everyone! Today I’m thrilled to present the letter E. [Music] That’s me, the letter E! I’m the second vowel, and I’m sure you’ve seen me around.
Okay, let’s learn how to pronounce me. I’m tricky because I have two different ways I like to be read. Let’s try this way first. Repeat after me: A [Music] Louder! [Music] Excellent!
Now, if I’m with a friend, together we will sound like this. Get ready: Eee! Louder! [Music] Excellent! [Applause]
Now you can also write with me whenever you like. I’ll show you. Let’s start with the capital letter. One longer vertical line, another horizontal line up here joining the one in the center, and the last one down here. Well done! Oh wow, it looks like a fork!
Okay, now let’s try the lowercase. This is a little harder, but we’ll get it. A short little line over here in the middle, and then we start our circle. Careful, don’t close it! Nicely done! It looks like a cat. Try writing it with a pen and paper; it’s easy!
Let’s look at some words. I’m in “egg,” which starts with the letter E. Careful with those eggs! “Engine” also starts with the letter E. Start the engines! What about “elbow”? What’s the first letter in the word “elbow”? Yes, well done! Can you lick your elbow?
Now let’s try a little harder. Do you know how to say these words? Careful, they sound different. Let me help you: “feet,” “she,” “sleep.” Excellent!
Okay, that’s enough work for today. What do you say to a little singing? Have you met Elephant Dad? Elephant Dad went down the shed. He went too fast and bumped his head. A little head with Jerry Red. All he wanted was his bed.
[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
