  • What are some things that make you feel happy at home or at school? How do you feel when you share your happiness with others?
  • Sometimes we feel different emotions throughout the day. How do you think we can help a friend who is feeling sad to feel a little happier?
  1. Happiness Hunt: Go on a happiness hunt around your home or classroom! Look for things that make you happy, like a favorite toy, a picture of your family, or a cozy blanket. Once you find something, share it with a friend or family member and explain why it makes you happy. This helps you understand what brings joy to your life and how sharing happiness can spread joy to others.
  2. Emotion Faces: Use a mirror to practice making different emotion faces. Try making a happy face, a sad face, and an angry face. Notice how your face changes with each emotion. Then, draw these faces on paper and talk about what might make someone feel each way. This activity helps you recognize and express different emotions, including happiness.
  3. Happiness Journal: Start a happiness journal by drawing or writing about one thing that made you happy each day. At the end of the week, look back at your entries and see how many happy moments you collected. Share your favorite happy moment with a friend or family member. This encourages you to reflect on positive experiences and appreciate the little things that bring happiness.

Here’s a sanitized version of the provided YouTube transcript:

Hello! How are you feeling today? Happy, sad, or maybe angry? I’m very happy today, but other days I’m not so much, and that’s okay.

So, what do all these words have in common? That’s right, they are emotions! Learning to understand and express them will be very useful for you. Emotions are how we react to the things that happen around us. There are many different types of emotions, but they are all equally important because they allow us to express and understand what’s going on inside us as well as with the people around us.

Emotions have a limited duration; they don’t last very long. This means that if at a given moment we are feeling a certain way, for example, if we are happy, it doesn’t mean that we will always feel happy. That is why we say that emotions are short-lived and can change.

Now that we have reviewed what emotions are, let’s focus on one: happiness. Can you tell me what happiness is? Happiness gives us a pleasant and pleasurable feeling, which means it makes us feel good. It occurs when we get something we have wanted very much or when we’re doing things we like. We also feel happy when we are with the people we love. Happiness is a positive emotion that makes us feel joyful, puts us in a good mood, and makes us want to smile. When our happiness is very intense, we can laugh out loud or even jump for joy.

There are lots of things that can make us feel joyful and happy. Did you know that we use more than 10 muscles every time we smile? You can even get sore muscles from smiling! Being with our friends, eating our favorite dessert, spending time with our families, playing with our pets, celebrating our birthdays, or when someone reads us a story are all things that can make us feel happy. I’m sure you’ve been in one of these situations at least once. Isn’t it awesome to feel happy?

Happiness is an emotion that we can experience alone and with our family and friends. Happiness is very contagious! It is very important to learn to listen to and express both our positive and negative emotions because they allow us to understand how we feel and communicate that to the people around us.
