In this lesson, we learned how to draw a cute little bird with her eggs, starting with basic shapes like circles and triangles to form the bird’s body, head, and features. We then added wings, a tail, and a cozy nest for the eggs, followed by coloring our creation with any colors we liked. The lesson also included fun facts about birds, encouraging creativity and practice in drawing.

How to Draw a Little Bird with Her Eggs

Hi there! Today, we are going to learn how to draw a cute little bird with her eggs. It’s going to be so much fun! Let’s get started.

What You Need

Before we begin, make sure you have some paper and crayons or colored pencils. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Drawing the Bird

1. First, let’s draw a big circle for the bird’s body. This is where the bird’s tummy will be.

2. Next, draw a smaller circle on top of the big circle. This will be the bird’s head.

3. Now, let’s add a little triangle on the head for the bird’s beak. Birds use their beaks to eat and chirp!

4. Draw two small circles on the head for the eyes. You can color them in to make them look bright and shiny.

Adding the Wings and Tail

1. On each side of the bird’s body, draw a curved line for the wings. Wings help the bird fly high in the sky!

2. At the back of the bird, draw a few lines to make a tail. The tail helps the bird balance while flying.

Drawing the Eggs

1. Under the bird, draw a few oval shapes. These are the eggs. Birds keep their eggs safe and warm.

2. You can draw a nest around the eggs by making a circle with some zigzag lines. This is where the bird keeps her eggs cozy.

Coloring Your Drawing

Now it’s time to color your drawing! You can use any colors you like. Maybe the bird is blue, or maybe it’s red. It’s up to you!

Fun Facts About Birds

Did you know that birds can sing beautiful songs? They use their voices to talk to each other. Also, some birds can fly very far without stopping!

Great job on your drawing! Keep practicing, and soon you’ll be able to draw all kinds of animals. Have fun and keep being creative!

  • What colors did you choose for your bird and why? Do you have a favorite bird that you tried to make your drawing look like?
  • Have you ever seen a bird’s nest in real life? What did it look like, and where did you find it?
  • Birds use their beaks for many things, like eating and singing. Can you think of other animals that use special parts of their bodies to do interesting things?
  1. Bird Watching Adventure: Go outside with a grown-up and try to spot different birds. How many different kinds of birds can you see? What colors are they? Do they have any special features like a long tail or a big beak? Draw a picture of your favorite bird that you saw and try to remember its colors and features.

  2. Build a Nest: Use materials you find around your home or outside, like twigs, leaves, or paper, to create a nest just like a bird would. Think about how birds use their beaks to gather materials and build their nests. Once your nest is ready, you can place your drawn eggs inside and pretend your bird is keeping them safe and warm.

  3. Bird Song Imitation: Listen to the sounds of birds singing outside or find bird songs online. Try to imitate the sounds you hear. Can you make a high-pitched chirp or a low cooing sound? Think about why birds might sing. Do they sing to talk to each other or to say hello to the morning?
