Geography:

Croatia is located in Central and Southeast Europe, bordering Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the southeast, Montenegro to the southeast, the Adriatic Sea to the southwest, and Slovenia to the northwest. It’s known for its diverse landscape, including plains, lakes and rolling hills in the continental north and northeast, densely wooded mountains in Lika and Gorski Kotar, and rocky coastline along the Adriatic Sea.

Area: Approximately 56,594 square kilometers (approximately 21,851 square miles).

Population: Approximately 4.1 million people (as of 2023 estimate).

Language: The official language is Croatian.

Climate:

Croatia has a diverse climate, ranging from continental to Mediterranean. The inland regions have a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters, while the Adriatic coast has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and dry, warm summers.
